Free 'Women's Suffrage' lesson plan

Download our new lesson plan and work through this exciting topic with your class!

  • Complete lesson plan - we've done all the hard work!
  • Easy, quick download

To coincide with International Women's Day on Thursday 8th March we're giving away an exciting new lesson plan from the experts at Challenging Learning.

Did Emily Davison and the Suffragettes achieve anything?
Why do women need to vote?
What is feminism?
Are women the only victims of sexism?

This free resource uses Emily Davison and the Suffragettes as an illustration to help answer some of these questions.

Together with your students, you can explore what is meant by women’s suffrage and consider women’s right to vote in the context of wider gender equality issues.

Just complete the form on this page!

Please note - This is a very detailed lesson plan and much work has gone into its creation. Although the lesson plan has an age range of 11-16+, it is possible to adapt the lesson plan for younger children, as you can take out what is needed. Be inspired by the content and ideas to help form a basis for a lesson around the topic of women's suffrage.
